The Illinois Council on Responsible Fatherhood (http://responsiblefatherhood.illinois.gov) is a state commission established by the Illinois State Legislature to promote the positive involvement of both parents in the lives of their children. The mission of the Council is to significantly increase the number of children in Illinois that grow up with a responsible father in their lives.

“The relationship between a father and a child is of a vital importance. Teen and disadvantaged fathers need to be educated concerning the responsibility of fatherhood and advised on how to proceed with child custody, visitation and support issues,” commented Atty-Chair Leving.
